Duties

- Supervision of 1-3 people
- Entering of time, material, equipment used into computer or paper work
- Possible client sales
- Responsibility for quality, quantity, and safety of work performed
- Operation of small, rider, and side hill mowers
- Application of fertilizers, pesticides, and growth regulators
- Flexibility to work in other divisions of the company as needed

Examples of duties performed

- Mowing residential, commercial, and governmental turf
- Granular or spraying applications
- Equipment maintenance and light repair
- Mulching of planting beds
- Bed preparation
- Installation of edging and weed fabric
- Application of fertilizer, seed, and hydro-mulch
- Pruning of plant materials

Examples of machinery used

- Dew Eze side hill lawnmower
- Walker and Gravely lawnmowers
- Truck and trailer mount spray rigs
- 1 and 6 ton trucks with manual transmission
- various small equipment, IE rototillers, sod cutters, etc.
- miscellaneous loader tractors

Qualifications

Strong work ethic, integrity, intelligence, flexibility, pride in work, enthusiasm, responsible, self-starter, safety, Illinois Pesticide Operator License

Training

On the job training is the major program utilized. Major events sponsored by ALCA, ILCA, AAN, NLA, and other industry specific events will be decided on a per instance basis.
